Ramadan is a great opportunity to go pray in beautiful houses of worship that you might not otherwise take the time to see. Whether for Taraweeh prayers or Dhuhr, pay a visit to one of Muscat’s architectural monuments of faith.
{ Masjid Uthman Bin Affan }
Uthman Bin Affan mosque is an old mosque located on the main Sultan Qaboos road of South Al Hail. Named after the third caliph and companion of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the mosque has undergone a number of renovations, and now they’re putting the finishing touches on a detached ceremony hall that is just magnificent. The exterior sports textured beige paint accented by pitch-black tinted windows. The dramatic space just in front of the main entrance features white, cone-shaped tents that add a fresh touch of modernity to this very classic-looking mosque.
