Over 20 unlicensed wells seized in North Al Batinah Governorate

Muscat: Within three days, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources seized more than 20 unlicensed wells in North Al Batinah Governorate.

The Ministry said in a statement: "To reduce the drilling of random and unlicensed wells, the Water Control Team at the Directorate General of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in North Al Batinah Governorate managed, within just three days, to seize 23 modern wells in a number of homes in the Wilayat of Liwa without prior permission from the Ministry. The legal procedures are being completed in this regard. "
