Urgent appeal made for O -ve blood donation in Oman

Muscat: The Royal Hospital and the Central Blood Bank have urged people with O(-ve) blood type to urgently donate blood at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar.

"Due to the decrease in the number of blood donors during the past days, which led to a drop in the level of the stock of O - type, the Royal Hospital and the Central Blood Bank are appealing to holders of O - type to donate blood at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar. There are currently cases that urgently need blood transfusion," the Royal Hospital said in a statement.
