Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), in cooperation with the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was able to thwart the smuggling of more than one million captagon tablets. It is an illegal, addictive amphetamine drug.
The ROP said: “Within the framework of international cooperation, the Royal Oman Police, in cooperation with the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was able to thwart the smuggling of 1.8 million captagon tablets weighing 315 kilograms. They were being transported hidden in glass plates. The case is under legal proceedings.”
