WATCH: Disney can win in China, says Bob Iger

CNN’s Matt Rivers sat down with Disney’s CEO Bob Iger to discuss the opening of a new 960 acre park in Shanghai.
He tells Rivers, “This is a big dream coming true and a lot of ambition to bring Disneyland to China.” The park is tailored to the Chinese audience with popular songs on the parade sung in Mandarin, Chinese tea houses to eat at and zodiac signs around the park which feature Disney characters.
“I don’t think there is a global company that exists today that isn’t looking to Asia, in particular to China, for growth.” Iger adds, “China must be an important part of that growth strategy.” Iger admits, though, that China is a challenging market. “We’re aware of the realities of this marketplace, whether it’s culturally related or regulatory related. We still believe, even with what’s happened recently, and with those challenges, that we still have great opportunity to grow.”
