Muscat: GCC Supreme Council Consultative Authority building, which was funded by the Omani government to act as key player in enhancing Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) joint work, was opened under the auspices of Dr. Abdulatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, GCC Secretary General on Sunday.
The building, which stretches over more than 15,000 square metres, includes main auditorium that have unique structural design, two sub-auditoriums for meeting, four minor meeting halls for the committee meetings and two training auditoriums, in addition to the facilities annexed to the building.
Diplomatic mission
It also includes offices for officials, advisors, employees at the Authority which is deemed as one of the diplomatic missions in Oman. The guest of honour expressed thanks and appreciation to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the Omani government and people for the steady efforts done to enhance cooperation and integration among the GCC countries. He hailed the remarkable renaissance and the comprehensive development witnessed by Oman under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.
