Muscat: Due to extreme weather conditions, people in the Wilayat of Sur have faced interruption of services and the Royal Oman Police is providing support with the help of water tankers.
"South Al Sharqiyah Governorate Police Command providing support through water tankers to supply affected homes as services have been disrupted in some areas in the Wilayat of Sur, due to extreme weather conditions in the governorate," ROP said in a statement.
Additionally, shelters have been provided to over 350 people who are affected by the heavy rainfall in various governorates, the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
"The Relief and Shelter Sector of the Sub-committee for Emergency Management in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate provided shelters for 18 families comprising 105 people and is following up the necessary care for them. Also the Relief and Shelter Sector of the Subcommittee in North Al Batinah Governorate provided shelters for 40 families comprising 290 people," the ROP, said in a statement.
